Today is an Opportunity to Live-Work-Play in town!

LIVE

Improving our quality of life is essential to our survival and economic sustainability. Transportation is key to year-round recreation and commuting within town. Let’s not encourage more traffic and gridlock and commutes of 2 hours or more to travel 30 miles.

WORK

Create New Job Centers

Use existing roadways, Highways, Interstate 880 and Transit Stations-for new job centers - we need livable wage jobs not more warehousing jobs which pay minimal wages and create associated truck traffic impacting our roads and quality of life.

Create livable wage jobs where residents can work in our Town. To do this we must focus on creating business space such as Class A Office space, professional and technical related spaces near BART and in underutilized warehousing and industrial areas next to existing shopping/strip malls. Pause implementation of new taxes, fees, and regulations.

PLAY

Support bike master plans, close gaps in bike paths off roadways and make public transit more affordable. Let’s get people to enjoy our town and travel in town for work and play.

Create Open Space Gateways to showcase the urban/rural connections between our town and neighboring towns. Retain views of our hills and bay to enhance our experience.

Improve local transportation networks – with infrastructure investment and improved public transit ridership. Bus synchronization with our BART station promotes easy transitions. Let’s consider shuttles to destinations like Ardenwood Historic Farm and Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge and to job centers during the week.

Let’s create more parks, safe routes to parks, schools, BART, transit and job centers using public-private partnerships. We need to work with the business community, non-profits and institutions to fund and invest in infrastructure to live-work-play in town for future generations before the land is all gone!
